Our first expedition: Origin

Going underground

Towards the end of 2022 members of the leadership team planned and executed a series of expeditions to the lava tube caves surrounding Mount Etna. With the assistance and support of the Italian Alpine Club, teams entered the cave system requiring a combination of teamwork, dynamic risk management and physical exploration skills in order to make descents to a number of points. It is worth noting that the previous ESA class of 2009 conducted similar activities organized by the Italian Alpine Club as part of their training proving that such experience is well within the grasp of those not (yet?) selected. We named this adventure Origin, symbolizing the beginning of our company as it represents the initial official expedition we meticulously organized and successfully carried out.

Adventure Medicine

Norway

Our PARSEC crew collaborated with the Swedish company "Adventure Medicine" and participated in the first "Alpine Wilderness Life Support" course. Spending a week in the Norwegian mountains, it was a very intense week, full of challenging medical cases and technical alpinism through mixed terrains and alternating weather conditions. Thank to our amazing trainers, we are now ready for the next level!
